#kh #kingdom hearts #roxas #roxas kh #my art #i haven't played past com yet but once i got this idea it wouldn't leave #i struggled a lot with drawing the coat #specifically i had difficulties getting the form right #i started with drawing roxas' body as a “sketch” then i drew the coat on top #but when i drew within the bounds of his body the coat didn't have the angular shapes in the locations i wanted #the silhouette wasn't strong #and the coat appeared kinda lumpy #i wound up redoing the torso from scratch #the flags and poles were super fun to draw #i was originally going to place the keychain symbols on top #but once i finished the thalassa shell charm i realized i wanted to include the keychains separate from the actual structure of the pole #so i instead made the tops of the poles resemble the hilts of oblivion/oathkeeper #(honestly if keyblade-themed pride flags existed irl i'd get them in a heartbeat #it would be so cool!)#overall this drawing involved a lot of . reevaluating processes and redoing parts i wasn't satisfied with #but i think it turned out for the better! i'm really happy with how it came out

#Totally not because he’s a dead man walking #the augment is comprised of two to three layers #first layer is synthskin or something comparable and works like a skin graft #second is the harder shell bonded to it to provide structure and protection where parts of the flesh are missing #third layer in the skeletal augment is cosmetic and is where the 'ribs' sit #[voss transmission]

Having a rough night tonight. I’m really missing who I used to be.

#the last 2 years especially have sucked and turned me into a shell of who I was #but I still yearn for pre-2020 me too #I miss when I wasn’t chronically exhausted and could DO things #I miss having my old body that was cute and not so large #I miss when I could do yoga without getting dizzy or sick #I miss when I could go on long hikes #I miss when I didn’t cry every time I put on new clothes #i miss when I could stand to look at myself in the mirror #or when I wouldn’t break down if the camera didn’t have a filter on it #I miss not being in autistic burnout #when I could tolerate some noise and lights and being in busy places again #I miss tumbling rocks and collecting lipsticks and obsessing over their hex codes and crystal structures #I miss thinking that I had so much high quality life to live #and now even though I wouldn’t change the fact that I’m in school #I can’t stop thinking about how I wish I could have done this 5-7 years ago instead of now #seeing all my friends become attending and me just finishing up year 1 #and not being able to make new friends now #idk I’m just not having a good time

#girl you are going in the cold water delicate cycle you'll be fine #the ONE redeeming quality of plastic fibres was supposed to be that they were EASY TO WASH #(the one time I would recommend paying attention to the care label is when the garment is very structured #or has a lining or interfacing or padded cups or some other element that might be a different type of fabric #which may shrink or expand at a different rate than the shell #in that case if you toss it in the machine it may lose structure or its shape in the process #also anything with natural fibres; anything that is very fragile from age or very delicate; or anything that says 'DRY CLEAN ONLY'#I WOULD hand wash in cold #and if the care label says 'hang to dry' or 'lie flat to dry' there's really no reason not to)#(also if you're hand washing in cold always hang to dry.)#(this has been Back To School Life Tips With Mary Pea Soup)

And I did them on my own! :D Extra pleased with myself :3 #My slightly cocky attitude of ''Well that was frustrating - luckily I'll never run into another problem again'' amuses me lol #'Cause in the moment everything's flying! The code comes together lovely and it's all great! And then I come up to the next thing #Something I haven't done before - something that there's no Direct how-to of how to do a thing #Like setting player-and-character pronouns! I didn't know how to do that! But I figured it out!! :0 What a rush haha #It really did take me an evening of knocking my head against the wall in attempts - I waaaayyy overcomplicated it to start haha #I was like - trying to set up a system that would call on specific pronoun sets individually based on player input #Ridiculous - so much easier to just slap some values into an envelope and have those tied to a specific shell lol #But that took all night! I got sleepy while working on it and even my drowsy brain was like Wait...what am I supposed to check against? Haha #Such a weird experience subconsciously as well :0 'Cause I had normal dreams that night #Maybe some slight code-adjacent dreams of A Screen With Text On It but that could be anything :P #Most of it was just normal dream melodrama - but in the few times I woke up to readjust or roll over or pull my blanket #It was juuuuust enough for my ''conscious'' brain to kick in and think about what to compare against - what structure would work #And so by the time I woke up proper I had to frantically write down a bunch of code in a spare word document so I wouldn't go stir crazy lol #Breakfast must wait! Until The One Thing happened pffbtl #I wanted to assign a value to check if a specific piece of code was being called upon - basically a fork between two outcomes #That went fine! The value Was changing! But only the first fork was being called???#No lol I just didn't put the second = ugh pft - and what's more frustrating is that I'd been using == up to that point!! I'd been warned!!!!#I - for some reason - was convinced that using && would make the value check Only need to check If x = 1... That's not how it works......#It's an If statement! If x = 1 then why do I have to check IF x == 1! Just check!!! Hwagh rules and whatnot lol #Like I said it's all fixed now but sheesh! What a silly mistake! I knew better!! And now I double know better haha

ZrC has drawn wide attention as an anti-ablation coating material for lightweight C/C composites but is limited by the produced porous and loose ZrO2 film. To address this issue, the second phase is introduced to improve the densification of the formed Zr-X-O film. Such as ZrC-SiC/TaC coating, the produced low-melting-point oxides, SiO2 (Tm=1650 °C), Ta2O5 (Tm=1800 °C) and Zr6Ta2O17 (Tm=1900 °C), helped to form a dense oxides film. However, the high service temperature causes heat accumulation and a large thermal stress gradient on the surface of the coatings, which will result in large local defects and accelerate the failure of the coating.

Started rereading thg for the probably eighth time in preparation for SOTR’s release next month and Oh Boy the hyperfixation is creeping back up on me

hrghhhh how would you even go about mending an felt and fabricked and metal based animatronic

#disco speaks!#I’m trying to use references cause like they wouldn’t be restored #but they would be cleaned up and repaired/replaced in some way??#like I’m thinking about springtrap btw #like maybe use rubber or a plastic shell (plastic would be prone to breaking) rubber might be too toxic to the actual decayed muscle #and general mummified tight skin/muscle underneath so maybe a silicone based sheet layer?#yeah silicone would make the most sense for that layer #and then having like sort of fire house material or hrmm like neoprene or Kevlar lining on top of that #for general protection #is the casing fully fused to him??#how the fuck does that work #cause with the other animatronics you are just welp child body decays in their and their soul is trapped #so eventually the body is decomposed and essentially no use to the interior and motor functions of the suit #however in springtrap’s case that is not the same #while it can perform on its own it’s meant to have a wearer in it to puppet the movements #so when his body dies does it fuse to just the endo inside??#BUT THERE IS NO ENDO INSIDE??#yeah cause wait #he is the endo of the suit #(skeleton inside a skeleton (skeletonception if you will))#there is supposedly bracing for the spring locks and the interior structure of the suit #I’m still baffled on how it would’ve stood up on its own ngl #I’ve made a puppet head with a metal strap to create the base and then used fabric and foam as a covering #but also that would abrasive I like the idea of the jumpsuit like the movie version has but again material would have been corroded by blood #and other organic fluids as a result of decomposition #like the stomach would have had leaking bile and so would most of the organs due to the punctures #and there is also bladder which becomes loose due to lack of muscle strength so those fluids would take effect #and then the jumpsuit would chafe skin and cause infection as well #well not really infection once deceased but like it wouldn’t help
